Since many of us live with cats, or have friends and family who do, cats are an integral part of everyday life. As cats go about their day, we humans have a lot of questions: what are they thinking, what do they want to do or eat, do they want to play - or why not, and on and on!
If we factor in their age difference to humans, it might help explain cats a little more. Cats age really rapidly in the first year of their life, going from a newborn kitten to the equivalent of 15 human years in the span of 12 months.
Contrast that to the first year of a person's life. Newborn babies are still considered babies 12 months later, when they turn 1 year old, and heavily reliant on their parents for just about everything.

To convert a human's age to cat age, one reverse ages the cat and human aging process. We know that over the age of 24 human years, every year in a cat's life equals about 4 human years, so we subtract that off, and evaluate the difference, if any, to calculate the cat age. That simple!
Will I be Younger As a Cat?
Yes, you will be much younger as a cat! That's because cat's age so rapidly compared to humans, especially in their first 2 years. A 2 year old cat is 24 years old. So if a person is 24 human years, they will be 2 years old as a cat; and a 36 year old person is 5 cat years.
