How to Use Guess The Number?

  1. Guess Number - Enter a number within the range and click or tap the Guess button. Alternatively, on most devices with keyboards, simply enter a number and press the enter key.

  2. Your scoreboard will display if you won or lost your current guess, below which is a scorecard summarizing your total plays for the current number range setting.

What Guess The Number Options Are There?

You can set the number range for guessing numbers, to adjust the difficulty level. The current ranges are:

  • 1-2: This is the easiest level, as you can only guess between the numbers 1 and 2.

  • 1-5: This is more difficult, as there are 5 possible numbers.

  • 0-9: The hardest option, with 10 possible numbers per guess.

The default number range is 1-5. You can change options at any time by selecting from the above options. If you change the number range, the scorecard for the previous range, if any, is cleared and a new one started.

What Does Guess The Number Scoreboard Show?

If you are guessing a number, the scorecard shows you whether you won or lost. You win if the number you guessed is the number the computer generated. You lose if your guessed number does not match the randomly generated computer pick.

The scorecard also keeps a running total for all of your guesses. It shows you the number of times you have played (i.e. made a guess), and your overall wins and losses, both quantitatively and as a percentage.

For example, if your Wins column shows 3 (75%), it means you've won 3 of your plays, which translates to winning 75% of your plays. In this case, there were a total of 4 plays, so 3 of 4 wins is 75 percent, and the number range was set to 1-2, the easiest level.
